Approximately 28.5 miles south of Hanksville on the east side of SR 95, you can find the Sandthrax Canyon Trailhead.
Colby's group in Sandthrax Canyon is the link to a video of a group of canyoneers in Sandthrax Canyon. We stopped here out of curiosity in seeing the entrance to the narrow slot. It was so narrow that none of us could have gone more than a couple of feet into the slot! There are a few modernish petroglyphs found on the wall outside the slot. After taking our photo opp, we retraced our steps to an interesting side canyon. Intending to find out if we could get a look down into the slot from the top, we climbed the slickrock. Along the way, we ran across a trackway; fossilized footprints in the sandstone.

We were unable to easily get to the top of the slot so we returned to the trailhead and took a look at the petroglyphs on the wall nearby. This was a nice, small, and pretty exploration.
Stats: 1.7 miles; 300' gain; 1.5 hours
