Today was the first day of the new volunteer program at Red Rock called Red Rock Ambassadors. Above, see pictured the two volunteers who were stationed at the Willow Springs Picnic Area. Although the day seemed slow at times, thirty questions were answered. At Willow Springs, the questions ranged from, "What does a creosote bush look like?" to "Can we drive up this road?" (Referring to Rocky Gap Road!) The petroglyphs which are located across the wash from the picnic area have never seen so much traffic as we were sending many visitors there to do a "short" hike.
At the end of the shift, the results were that the High Point station had the most questions, by far, since the bike race riders were there. And, Red Springs had the least amount of business.
