How to Join

Thank you for your interest in our hiking club and here is some general information for you. We

are a group of people over 50 with various levels of hiking abilities.

We all love children and dogs, but they are not allowed on our hikes. Proper footwear and plenty of snacks and water will make the hike more enjoyable for you. Also, be sure to bring a small first aid kit.

The hikes are rated easy, moderate, and strenuous. It’s encouraged that you read the hike description before signing up to determine if the hike will be appropriate for you. Please check our groups.io/g/atbf/calendar or the www.aroundthebendfriends.com website to find your first hike with our club. The website has a wealth of information about all of the hikes in our area as well as meeting locations, weather links, and coordinator bios.

If you haven’t had the opportunity to hike with any of us, you will need to sign up for an easy or moderate hike before you submit a new member application. This will give you a chance to see if you think our club will be a good fit for you. After you have hiked with us and understand how our club operates, please go to www.atbf.club and follow the instructions to apply for membership. Use the hike leader’s name as your sponsor. The fee is $10 for a year’s membership. After your application is approved, you will receive another email with more information.

Happy Hiking
