Club Members' Travels

Today, we are visiting Kay K. as her journey throughout the northwest continues. She has been travelling through Washington for the past few weeks and also into Canada where she attended her neice's wedding in Victoria, BC. These are only a few of the many pictures that she has placed on her website. She has visited many waterfalls, dams, hot springs, the San Juan Islands and Olympic National Park since we last looked in. Below, I have listed the places she has visited.

Hot Springs, MT. - Quinn's Hot Springs, MT - Banks Lake, WA (seen in the last photo) - Grand Coulee Dam, WA (the #1 hydro- producer of electric power in the U.S.) - Chief Joseph Dam, WA (the #2 producer and, by the way, Hoover Dam is #7) - Wells Dam, WA - Lake Chelan Dam, WA - Deception Falls, WA - Bridal Veil Falls, WA - Alpine Falls, WA (seen in the first photo) - Whidbey Island, WA - the San Juan Island, WA (including San Juan Island, Orcas Island, Shaw Island, and Lopez Island (seen in the second photo) - Sidney, Vancouver Island, BC - Wedding in Victoria, BC - Olympic National Park, WA (seen in photos 5, 6, and 7) - Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, WA - Cape Disappointment, WA (seen in photo #8 - so named because, as Kay eloquently puts it, "when John Meares named this place because he was dissapointed, it was bay instead of the Columbia river, where he was right place") - Clark's Tree, WA - Donneville Dam / Lock, WA -

Kay continued her travels by taking the scenic ride through the Columbia River Gorge viewing the Oregon waterfalls: Bridal Veil Falls, Sheppards Dell Falls, Latourell Falls, Wahkeena Falls, Multnomah Falls (the monster), Horsetail Falls, and Ponytail Falls. Next, she visited Columbia Hills State Park, WA (rock art in photo #3) -

Ice Cave, WA - Natural Bridges, WA (seen in photo #4) - Twin Falls, WA - Big Spring Creek Falls, WA -Langfield Falls, WA - Washington Falls, WA - Bonneville Hot Springs, WA - Hardy Falls, WA - Beacon Rock, WA.

Kay must be exhausted from her travels but it is probably very rewarding to see so much of our country. We miss her and wish her continued safe journey as she continues south toward her home in Las Vegas.
