This hike was a special hike! It was Rita's first hike back after a lengthy summer break. And, lo and behold, she introduces a new 4 mos. (yes, 4 mos.) puppy into our mix. His name is D. J. (or Darwin Junior) He is a mix of Burmese Mountain Dog, Poodle, German Shepherd, and Labrador Retriever. He is the SWEETEST! And, he knows where the shade is! For Rita, he is somewhat of a rescue from a bad breeder but, boy oh boy, she hit the jackpot! Susan was with us and she is a great dog aunt. I think this is Amora's introduction as well. She is a standard poodle in the apricot hue! She is 1 y 2 mos. She is Onyx's adopted sister and they are inseparable. But, she is here to meet her new cousin, D. J. What a pair! Our hike was a simple short hike of Lower Showgirl O&B. A cool morning and very happy to observe the puppies enjoy the outdoors.
