The Watchman Trail - Zion National Park - 9/8/13

Clouded View from the Watchman Trail Overlook

The Trail

There were seven leisurely hikers on the last morning of the Zion National Park excursion who gathered for a three mile hike up and down the Watchman Trail. This is a trail that begins on the south side of the Virgin River at the Visitor's Center and leads up to an overlook area where views of Springdale, the Towers of the Virgins and the Watchman Mountain can be seen in all their glory. Even though it was a rainy morning, all seven hikers came prepared with their rain gear and had a great time hiking among the clouds. The views were extraordinary!

Thank you, Patti, for coordinating the hike and sending these photos.
